This update corrects a bug that causes palette files to be saved in a different file format than you specified. It also corrects bugs when saving a palette and a map to a BMP.

Also, it has come to my attention that WDC is not 100% compatible with Windows 7 x64. To run WDC on Vista or Windows 7, you need to "Run as Administrator" or WDC can't save its settings. Also, if you go to mess with the files of the EGA games, you just can't do it on the 64-bit versions because they won't run 16-bit programs and UNP, the EXE decompressor WDC uses, is 16-bit. I am looking to find an algorithm that I can port to VB6 and use instead of UNP. Until then, this feature is not available on 64-bit OS's.

This update adds iPhone Wolf3D 1.1 support and fixes the map exporting bug introduced in previous version.

I took this download down due to a problem when saving maps that was introduced in this release. Another update will be up in a day or two.

Also, this update only worked with the v1.0 version of the iPhone Wolf3D source. I am working to get this compatible with v1.1 files as well.

WDC now supports iPhone Wolf3D .map and .5551 files.

Supports iPhone Wolf3D .map format
Supports iPhone Wolf3D .5551 graphic files
The test project command line now has a *map* parameter.
Fixed the map symbol refresh bug when adding things to plane 4
Now shows the byte mode some place on the map form
Added a checkbox beside the plane combo to show/hide the current plane
Can now import multiple map files to the map clipboard.
Redesigned the Project Information and Preferences windows

I made some changes to the site so I can upload files again. If any links are broken please tell me so I can fix it.

The downloads page is messy right now, but I'll get that taken care of later.

Of course, with these changes, another redesign is also at hand.

Site redesign

I decided to redesign the site a bit and make it more integrated with the forum and become more of a blog-type deal, which basically just means it becomes easier for me to post news to the site and you can now comment on the posts.

The RSS feed is currently broken until I find something to build one from a phpbb forum. If you find anything else that's broken on the site, please let me know so I can fix it.

Big changes with this release. Below is the list of changes straight from the help file.

The Multiple file exporter now recognizes music chunk names correctly.
Fixed a problem with IMF playback that caused playback to cut off.
Map tile information can now show both the icon and the graphic at the same time and can be a separate window.
Corrected C7 Disk, C7 CD, and OBC map definition files.
Massive redesign of the map tile area on the right of the map editor.
New functionlity in the map symbol editor.
- Can change the graphics number for multiple items simultaneously.
- Can change the name for multiple items simultaneously.
- Can change the type for multiple items simultaneously.
- Added an "Advanced" menu for changing item sequences of items.
- Added Find to Edit menu
- Added more shapes: large cross, small plus, large plus
Added ability to add multiple sound names at once.
Combined and rearranged the Map Options and Map Tools menus.
Exporting a picture now uses the selected palette.
Renamed Operation Body Count palette files.
Added C7 Map Load screen palette.
Various bug fixes.

No, the music viewer featured in the previous post is not in this release.

These projects are still being actively developed. Here's something new that should make it's way into WDC within a few updates:

Right now it's just a viewer. Making it an actual editor will take some more time.

That said, I do have a update for WDC that should be out within the next few weeks.
